Trad progression & headgame: 2 day course 8-9 September 2026

If you’re already a trad leader, but want to work on building confidence, trusting your gear, improving your headgame, (or finally realising that slab is actually pretty damn cool) then this 2-day course is for you. We head to North Wales this time (weather permitting), where there’s a huge range of trad routes to satisfy most climbers’ needs. Suitable for all levels - whether you’re a leading Severe or HVS.

Topics can be tailored towards your own goals where appropriate - please contact me to discuss specifics.

Bunkhouse accommodation for 2 nights is included in the price - you’ll need your own sleeping bag. Please plan to arrive Monday evening. Lifts can be arranged from a nearby station, or car share from London if appropriate.

Topics to include:

  • Coach’s eye on gear placement & anchors

  • Testing gear safely & trad falls

  • Movement & technique coaching

  • Headgame techniques & tactics - on the ground & on the rock

  • Route reading & preparation

  • Consolidate your trad grade, or push your grade further

You must already be a trad leader, with your own climbing shoes and harness.
